The purpose of MacAnalysis is to help you avoid all intrusions and damage caused by hackers. The principal behind MacAnalysis is simple, it hacks your server (Unix, NT, Mac) like any experienced hacker would, and informs you what it did and how to efficiently fix the vulnerabilities in your server. MacAnalysis recognizes specific versions of specific daemons, for example, it knows the distinction between SendMail 8.8.2 and SendMail 8.8.3's vulnerabilities. MacAnalysis gives a detailed description of the issues it discovers on your server. MacAnalysis reconizes thousands of daemons: - Mail (smtp, pop3): Sendmail, SLMail, VopMail, InFusion, Emurl Communigate, IMail, Eudora, MailMax, Internet Anywhere, Netscape Messaging, Microsoft Exchange, 602Pro LAN Suite, DMail, Mercure, Internet MailBridge, FTGate, Merak, Starnine Mail Server, Nu-Mail, NTMail, Post Office... - Web (www): Apache, IIS, Netscape Enteprise, RapidSite, WebStar, OmniHTTPd, NCSA Httpd, Microsoft Personal Web Server, iServer, JigSaw, GoAhead, Avenida, BadBlue, Alibaba, StrongHold, Sambar Server, MacOS X server, Roxen WebServer, Domino, Zeus Web Server... - Ftp : Wu_Ftpd, FtpMax, Serv-u, WFTPD, WS_FTP, ZBServer, Guild FTPd, Rumpus, Microsoft, Shambala, BisonWare… - more... and multiple Operating Systems: - A/UX, HP-UX, IBM AIX, OpenVMS, OSF/1, QNX, ReliantUnix, Sco OpenServer, IRIX, Solaris, SunOS, Ultrix, UnixWare, MacOS, MacOS X Server, BSDi, FreeBSD, Linux, OpenBSD, Solaris, Windows, AS/400, BeOS, OS/2, OS/390, Lynx, Novelle NetWare... The MacAnalysis database is updated regularly with the "Vulnerability Update" function. The program takes 10 seconds to rehash its database. With more than 100 new holes per month, MacAnalysis will never become obsolete or outdated. MacAnalysis is also a powerful tool for investigators, with functions such as "Trace IP", MacAnalysis can find the location relative to an IP (up to city precision) with a graphical rendering. MacAnalysis can also perform NSlookup (NS, SOA, CNAME, MX, IN A..), System Information, Ping (Type / Code modifiable - spoof) Finger, Whois, ReverseIP, Port Scan, Services Scan, Name Scan, Traceroute, Looking Glass Features (BGP, Summary, Access-List, Environmental, Flap...), OS Fingerprinting, Brute Force (Pre-configured Wordlists), Nph-Browser, Proxy Support, Network Info, ICMP logger, DUP Broadcast Scanner (Smurf amplifier detection), Telnet client, Buffers Overflow etc... MacAnalysis includes 2 powerfull search engines which are split into different categories such as Computer Breaches/ Unix Files, and Newsgroups. If you don't understand some technicals words, MacAnalysis gives you a definition with its integrated DICT Protocol in a few seconds. MacAnalysis has a schedule option, it can periodically check the reliability and the security of your website. If MacAnalysis detects a problem, it contacts you by SMS (Mobile Phone), email or by an audible alert. With the "security news" option, you can be informed about the latest security news from various websites without any efforts. As of today, MacAnalysis contains more than 1200 recorded holes (the oldest discovered in 1992), any one of them could jeopardize your server's life...Adopt the new and the multi-awarded Security software for Macintosh !
What's new in this version:
Fixed Liveupdate crash in certain circonstances
Added "Check software update" menu
Fixed "Name scan" bug (:: stop when NTA != false)
Added PTM holes verification
Fixed .com tld servers
Added whois window, it allows you to configure your whois servers
of Apple still uses OS 9, loser. You know, the hacker? Steve "Woz" Wozniak? Don't you read? Also, anbody who knows anything about security knows that OS 9 is WAY more secure than OS X & Windows, etc. Someone on OS 9 is probably rooting around inside Brass Hammer's OS X machine as I write..heh..heh... Anyway, I would give 4 stars, but it doesn't seem to allow me to update anymore (at least in OS 9, just stays at the same date now) and it says it's in demo mode even though I paid for the thing. Told them about the demo problem about a year ago or so, but no fix... No clear answer on if it is running in some kind of demo mode or if it just says it... otherwise, I would give this 4 stars (-1 because it could have better explainations [sic] ;) of potential hacking methods when holes are detected & Classic is prematurely ditched)
