Product Description:

Create Adobe PDF enables you to easily create a PDF file from any application using the AdobePS 8.6 PostScript printer driver. It makes creating PDF files as easy as printing to a printer. If you own Adobe Acrobat 4.0 for Mac OS and you use AdobePS 8.6 (the Adobe PostScript Printer driver) to print to PostScript devices, Adobe recommends that you install Create Adobe PDF. AdobePS 8.6 is available for free download from the Adobe Web site. After you install Create Adobe PDF, you can select a special printer called "Create Adobe PDF" from within the Page Setup or Print dialog of AdobePS 8.6.

it's busy"??? Please. It is VERY slow, and if you try to do anything while it's busy your Mac will freeze. Occasionally it will not turn out a PDF at all, it might just spit out a ps file that must then be converted with Distiller. This is a far less elegant and effective solution than the PDFWriter that came with Acrobat 4 (which still works perfectly, I recommend downgrading to it). I don't want a replacement to LaserWriter 8 - I just want something that creates PDF's, for cryin' out loud!!!

make PDF's with Distiller without disrupting my normal workflow, and in the background, if you don't mind some slowdown on your Mac while it's busy... Great!
