Product Description:

Based on AppleScript, this is professional-level psychology research software:

Millisecond timing
Present almost any type of multimedia stimuli. Record responses from any input device, including using the built-in sound as a high quality voice key.
Draw your own stimuli on the fly with built-in scriptable drawing including bezier curves.
hardware control (serial, USB, ethernet)for integration with fMRI, skin conductance, EEG etc

All of this power is organised around a simple trial description language which you can learn in a few hours, and orchestrated by AppleScript. Object-based libraries enhance reuseability and keep designs clean.
As a result, the program allows you to quickly modifying existing scripts and program your own experiments. RAs and students can learn to modify designs quickly. It is completely integrated with all your other scriptable apps.

What's new in this version:

enhanced library functionality
Improved sound latency (now approx 5msec)
Implemented I/O connection objects, replacing the old serial I/O interface. Instead of a single serial connection, you can have multiple connections open at once, with the potential to support other kinds of connections in future (eg TCP).

programmer and I also happen to have a strong interest in psychology, an odd combination, but knowing people in BOTH the programming realms and psychology, you are going to need a LOT friendlier user interface before anyone will even begin to take this seriously.

I was able to successfully diagnose and treat my own hystrionic disorder. However using this software eventually triggered an episode of trichotillomania, which despite PsyScript's new enhanced library functionality, I was unable to normalize, and for which I was ultimately forced to seek professional help.
