Product Description:

Provides more accurate control over your Mac's sound input and output. The control panel has larger volume sliders and provides a numerical value for the computer's sound level. It is a great addition for people using their Macs with programs like iTunes and Sound Jam. The G�Sound control panel also does not produce a system beep when changing the Computer's system volume as this can be very overpowering when music is being played through powered speakers or stereos.

chunk of code; more explanation needed. Note that, despite it's icon and function, this is an application and not a control panel. Hence it doesn't need to live in the Control Panels folder; you don't need to restart after 'installing' it; and if you merely drop it into the System Folder, the Finder will not automatically place it in the Control Panels folder.
