pagan holiday on which the spirits were thought to roam the earth. To avoid the wrath of the spirits, people dressed up in costumes to fool the spirits into thinking people were more of them. In addition, small offerings were made on Halloween to appease the spirits. So the reason that some people dislike Halloween is because it's a fairly gruesom pagan holliday. The Church tried to replace it with All Saint's Day, but obviously they didn't exactly have a huge effect. Getting back to this app, it works fine and looks kind of neat. Good job!
