They have fixed the naming bug in this release, but this has an unfortunate side effect when working with long filenames.

if you filename already uses the maximum number of characters that quark will allow, and the image is used more than once in the document then when it gets processed an extra number is added to the filename and quark will now be unable to re-import the image.
