I've played this version of seahaven, the mike's cards version, and the longwood version. Of the three this version feels the most 'modern'. Mike's version doesn't have the solve feature. The longwood version feels very much like an old mac app, quaint but ugly, slow and pixelated. I'm addicted to this silly solitaire game. Like I said, I have all three versions. I used to play Mike's version. Now I've switched to this version. I hope they keep making more versions.
I think it's funny that the other reviewers are talking about loyalty and irritation and a solitaire game at the same time.

If any of you play the Longwood Wizard's Guild version, you'll immediately recognize that this is not the better of the two products. What amazes me is that this guy even went so far as to use the name of the original (obviously an attempt to build on the success of the original author's work). Actually, it doesn't amaze me so much as it irritates me to see someone do this. My advice? Don't bother with it. Get the real thing.

As a longtime user of Longwood Wizards Guild Ver of Seahaven Towers I had to give this a try. I found the card rendering fine (don't know what ppsphil is refering to). The cards on the desktop is a matter of preference. I found gameplay smooth and features (solver etc) to perform as advertised. While I will continue to use the Longwood Wizards Seahaven as a matter of loyality and preference, I see nothing wrong with this software. If you like the Seahaven/Freecell type of software check out both of these implementations.
Fantastic

I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about. The card renderering on my dual G4 w/ cinema display is amazing. The detail in the card artwork is beautiful.
As to the cards directly on the desktop, that is mentioned as a "feature" of the game. I kinda' like it, I could see that some people might not like it though.
I registered and enabled the "Can Solve..." menu item. I really like this feature. It let's me know if I'm stuck at any point. The other assist features are cool too.

Is this supposed to be a "Finished" application worthy of a shareware fee?
This thing doesn't even have a dedicated window! It just opens with all the cards dealt on the desktop in front of any open windows!
If you go to the menu and select "Rules" it just opens a "GOOGLE" search result page with all the listings that were found for "Seahaven" or Seahaven Towers"
The card renditioning is terrible!
I suggest the author should have a look at Art Cabral's Longwood Wizards Guild's version! I've played it since the original version1.0 in 1984 and now use, and have registered, version 2.0 on my 600mhz G3 iMac with Panther 10.3.2 and it's superb!!

The payment (through PayPal) went OK but no unlocking code ever arrived, despite several e-mails requesting it.
So make sure you get an e-mail from the developer before attempting to register it!
