This looks like a great game but here are the minimum spec from the developer's website. So bad luck old iMac G3 owners (including me).

This game is pretty nice. Does what it says on the box, looks good, plays well. A couple of minor things would improve it though. When dragging cards, you need to be quite accurate with the mouse. It would be better if the target highlight wasn't so picky - as long as theres a reasonable amount of intersection between the card pairs, it should work. The mouse position shouldn't really come into it, but it does. Also, in other versions of the game, a shortcut for moving cards to the "right" place is to double-click. This game doesn't implement that, which means theres a lot of dragging to do. Starts to make your hand ache after a bit. The application menu title is very long, and should be shortened, just "Solitarus" would do, there is no need for the company name nor the word simple. I hope the next update incorporates fixes for these. In the meantime, it's still pretty good.

After downloading, i try to launch the app; it starts to bounce in the dock, then goes away.. doesn't open.

Something I have been looking for. Just a simple, free copy of Solitare. It works, is colorful, and shows lots of work for free. I play this game dozens of times a day. Thank you for this gift.
I agree with a previous poster - the mouse movement of cards could have been a lot more desensitized and more intuitive.
I also wish the card images were a lot sharper and clearer; they seemed 'fuzzy'. Guess the shadowing didn't help.
Too bad. This would be a full five stars if it weren't for those glaring minuses.
But what do you expect from free, right? :-)
