I don't want to seem stupid, but who is god?

What is a bible? Is that a comic, poems or fairy tale book that this god person wrote or did someone else write it?

I've caught a few words here and there about it when channel surfing, but I've never seen him on TV or in the movies.
Is he like some old dead dude that did something?

It should be noted somewhere that the versions available for this program are for Protestant versions of the Bible. King James and English Standard (ESV) which are non-catholic.

Just would be a courtesy. I'm not criticizing the product, just the lack of clarity in the description.

BTW, if a NAB (New American Bible) version were made available, I would be one of the first to download.

MacSword version 1.4.0b2 (7/22/08) works fine on:

Macmini 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo
2GB RAM OS 10.5.4

I think this (free) software is outstanding. Feature rich and very easy to use
