i've been using ScreenTool for 3 months w/o registration. finally purchased the 3/$20 package. was immediately rewarded by CitrusSoftware with 8 (eight) of the applications from their stable. i loaded ScreenTool, Clipz and ScreenMenu apps, verified their effectiveness, fired off a query to the developers, and in 7hrs got return email personally thanking me for my purchase with an assurance that the developers was Giving me the 5 extra apps....i'm impressed and grateful.

Screentool Commentary"Video" is misleading - Version: 2.0.3, 10/24/2005 07:51AM PST

To say that it captures "video" is somewhat misleading. It does capture whatever video is playing on your screen, but it only captures 1 frame per second (out of 25-30 fps), with no apparent way to adjust the frame rate. If this is a demo limitation, they should say so. Otherwise I have no reason to purchase simply for still-photo captures of the screen. Mac OS does that already.

Screentool ReviewEXCELLENT - Version: 2.0.3, 10/8/2005 01:00PM PST

perfect for taking and organizing screenshots. and extremely inexpensive, I suggest purchasing the 3-of-choice-deal package with this application, plus Screenmenu and Voicenotemenu (both can be found on VT), for only 20 bucks. For the next version I'd like to be able to see the Screenmenu screenshots in Screentool and vice versa.

I cannot reach citrus software's server. I ordered the product and have confirmation from KAGI. However, I have received no registration number. Why is citrussoftware's server for support or on it's home page link locked? I paid my dues. I want the registration number! What gives with this company?

It works! and that's why I purchased it. I tried some *censored* from a asian company located in Califonia and I have no words about the performance.

Screentool ReviewVideo function not working - Version: 2.0b2, 2/21/2004 03:08PM PST

The video copying function is not working, but the picture taking function works pretty well. Though if it is screen shots that interest you, you will be better off with ScreenMenu from the same developpers.

Screentool CommentaryA hard decision... - Version: 1.3.6, 6/30/2003 10:17PM PST

Though the idea is really nice, the execution is just really lacking for this app to be useful. I don't understand the frameskipping...you record something that's about 3 minutes, you get about 25 seconds of a very fast and framey movie. I know this has got to be difficult, especially trying to get it to run in the background with as little slowdown as possible(right now you can feel it make your system chug every 3 to 5 seconds), but if this could just be cleaned up a bit...this app would rock. The things I would do with it!!!
