Buddy fetches, but won't open the paper - Version: 1.0, 5/11/2004 12:59AM PST

...Perhaps a little too dramatically. I can change preferences and observe Buddy fetching all the requested info-but the "open paper" button does nothing. Let go of the paper, Buddy! Bad doggie!
My guess is that this is a small bug that the developer can fix quickly. Glad to see an old favorite updated, and I hope to use a fixed version soon.
BTW--am using Quicksilver 976 MHz G4, 768 MB SDRAM, OS X 10.3.3, default terminal settings...

1. This folder should go in ~/Library/Application Support where it belongs and it should be installed automatically by the application. -- DONE
2. Downloading dozens of comic strips that I don't want. -- FIXED
3. Downloading news from sources I don't want. -- FIXED
4. Opening a Terminal window -- and not closing it when it's done. -- FIXED
Talk about responsive to feedback! Absolutely remarkable. I really like this app now. If truth be told and if it were up to me, all of this would happen within a self-contained application a la iComic, but until that happens I'll settle for this. Very nice work!
Really neat, but... - Version: Beagle SP4, 2/29/2004 09:21PM PST

brossow1. Requiring me to place a folder directly in my home directory. This folder should go in ~/Library/Application Support where it belongs and it should be installed automatically by the application.
2. Downloading dozens of comic strips that I don't want.
3. Downloading news from sources I don't want.
4. Opening a Terminal window -- and not closing it when it's done. These tasks can be accomplished in the background without opening Terminal.
What would be REALLY nice is to reinvent this as a preference pane and have it do its work automatically without my having to launch the app and tell it to go to work.
I'm not trying to be negatively critical but offer constructive criticism that can improve the app. Great concept, but I'm not 100% thrilled with the implementation.
I Like It!!!!

I ~think~ the $HOME variable isn't being written or read properly.
