When I copy a file from Windows to the Mac's shared drive, the file name has been converted to all lower case. I think it is a bug. Anybody has the same problem?

system environment :
- Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6 : all
- MS RDC 2.0.1, 2.0.2 : all

Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection ReviewFrequently causes Windows XP to crash - Version: 2.0.1, 8/11/2009 02:28PM PST

I've used RDC version 1.0.x from a PPC Mac with no issue. However, this version doesn't run well from an Intel Mac. With the update to version 2.0.0, I found it ran well from an Intel Mac, but from either a PPC or Intel Mac, frequently causes a computer running XP to crash when attempting to login (about once out of every three or four connections). The same issue exists for version 2.0.1. The solution I've found that works best is CoRD (works well on both PPC and Intel Macs and doesn't cause XP to crash).

Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection ReviewGood Remote Desktop solution - Version: 2.0, 5/24/2009 08:24AM PST

Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) is Microsoft's solution for remotely logging on to PCs running Windows XP and later. It works very well showing that Microsoft can develop quality software if they want to.

RDC works just like VNC with the adition of a few features, such as sound and the automatic mounting of host drives. To log on to a remote PC you need to be administrator or have specific access rights. RDC handles screen resolution, screen depth, keyboard mappings and all the other settings. Unlike VNC, you can copy and paste text between Windows running in RDC and Mac applications, often preserving formatting.

RDC obviously requires you to have a PC to log on to. I use it to log on to my work computer from my personal laptop, and for me it works great.

Well done MacBU.
