but it does not provide a UDF, MSDOS, UNIX format. hdiutil does support it, but i cannot make discimages with that

It appears the usage of license files is broken in Panther. Says something about can't apply license for file at path (null).

I'm not going to put stars on this review since I haven't tried out 2.0.2. I have switched to using FileStorm; it's a little more expensive (but really, what is $20 in the grand scheme of things?), and it is amazingly well done. It has eliminated the entire need for a complex AppleScript I had to write to make my disk images before, has a beautiful GUI, and worked flawlessly for me right out of the box. I used DMG Maker for years because there was nothing better; now, however, that is no longer the case.

This is a great improvement over the 1.x version. It now allows AppleScripting which saves me a lot of time. It also covers nearly all options for images such as encryption and internet enabled images. The regex file exemption is cool too.

have to downgrade to two stars, because on 10.2.4 it appears that this app is no longer able to create .dmg.gz images; it fails every time with an error. Since that's what I want to do, having that not work is quite annoying (although obviously I can do it in Terminal).

just a GUI front end for "hdiutil"? If so then for those willing to work in a terminal there is a comprehensive built in command/utility called "hdiutil" which allows you to create and manipulate disk images of all sorts. The man page has basic instructions.

all the time to produce compressed disk images, and I'm very happy with it. The only features I'd really like now are scriptability and encryption support. Thanks!
