Signwave is a small and radical software company based in London, UK, that specialises in innovative software for Macintosh and Windows computers. It specialises in generative software - that is, software that is used in the production of another product, usually in realtime. Signwave's premier generative application is Auto-Illustrator, a generative vector graphic design application for Macintosh and Windows. Winner of REALSoftware (.us) and Transmediale (.de) awards, also earning an honourary mention at the 2001 Prix Ars Electronica (.at), Auto-Illustrator is proving to be a popular application in both the design industry and the net.art community.
